Obituary for Arthur Sarver Jr.
Arthur C. Sarver Jr., age 69, of rural Trivoli passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at his home. Art was born February 17, 1948 in Peoria to Arthur C. and Mary E. Dennis Sarver. He married Linda J. O’Brien on August 8, 1980 in Lewistown; she survives. He is also survived by his son, Matthew G. Sarver of East Peoria; sister, D. Sue Lappin of Peoria and his niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents. Art loved to mushroom hunt and play football; he played for Woodruff High School where he earned the Don Shaver Award, graduating in 1966. He belonged to Operating Engineers, Local 649. Art’s wishes were to have cremation rites accorded with no services. Memorials may be made to SAMS (Stray Animal Midway Shelter) in Hanna City where Art volunteered.
