Obituary for Arlene Frommelt
Arlene M. Frommelt, 94, of Peoria, IL formerly of Dubuque, IA passed away Friday August 17, 2012 at St. Francis Woods in Peoria, IL. She was born June 30, 1918 in Dubuque, IA to Arthur and Martha Tschiggfrie Taylor. She married Harland Frommelt in Dubuque, IA on November 18, 1944. He preceded her in death January 18, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ray, Carl and six sisters, Ruth, Marvel, Dorothy, Denise, Joan and Rhea. She is survived by her son, Craig (Sue) Frommelt of Peoria, IL; granddaughter, Katrina (Everett) Fritz of Centennial, CO; two great-grandsons, John Paul Fritz, Jude Fritz; one sister, Maylo Cyr of Denver, CO and several nieces and nephews. Arlene and her husband owned Club Esquire in East Dubuque, IL where she worked as a waitress retiring in 1972. She was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Peoria, IL. Arlene loved her family, especially her two great-grandsons. She enjoyed cross stitching with the S & B Club and playing bingo. She will be missed by her family and friends. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held in the chapel at St. Francis Woods at 3507 N. Molleck Drive in Peoria, IL at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday August 25, 2012 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Fr. Christopher Layden will officiate. Burial of cremains will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque, IA at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Francis Woods in her name.
