Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Pendley
Anthony “Tony” Pendley, age 70, of Peoria, IL passed away Saturday, January 1, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born April 23, 1950 in Bowling Green, KY to Robert and Elsie Elmore Pendley. He married Patricia “Patty” Lingenfelter February 14, 1981; she preceded him in death April 24, 2011.
Tony was also preceded in death by his mother; father; sister, Alice; grandson, Kaleb and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his two daughters, Amy (Thomas) Elmore of Peoria, Tammy (Matthew) Hawley of Macomb; one son, Billy Pendley of Peoria and one brother, Jimmy (Sharon) Pendley of Bowling Green, KY.
Tony served in the U.S. Army and was a Viet Nam Veteran. He was a tow truck driver in his earlier years then worked at the Salvation Army in Peoria. He also called Bingo at the American Legion. He was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979.
Cremation has been accorded a graveside service at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his name.
