Obituary for Annabelle Brown
Annabelle Brown 80, of Farmington formerly of Peoria passed away Thursday July 22, 2010 at Heartland in Peoria. She was born March 1, 1930 in Wheeler, IL to James and Bessie Blunk Stroud. She married Thomas E. Brown on November 11, 1967 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1983. Her parents, daughter Nancy and 8 brothers and sisters also preceded her. She is survived by her daughters; Teresa (Larry) Clark of Peoria, Barb Fisher of Mesa, AZ, her son Eddie (Ruth) Burnette of Peoria, and 1 sister Helen Clarke of Decatur. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Annabelle worked as a dye cutter for Fleming and Potter Co. in Peoria for 30 years retiring in 1992. She loved her cats, traveling, casinos and crocheting. She made baby blankets and afghans and gave them away and donated many to charities. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday July 29, 2010 at the First Christian Church, 604 Groveland Ave, Creve Coeur at 7pm with at visitation one hour prior.
