Obituary for Andy Sr. Freeman
Andy Scott Freeman, Sr., 60, of Pekin passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at his sister’s residence. He was born October 31, 1952 in Pekin to Samuel and Sylvia (Sig) Thomas Freeman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle and friend, Bruce Freeman. He is survived by his son, Andy Scott Freeman, Jr. of Pekin; daughter, Ashley Nicole O’Brien of East Peoria granddaughter, Jaiden Hoover and sisters; Marcia (Greg) Carper of Cape Corral, FL; Mary (Mike) Sonderman of Pekin and Valarie (Don) Bohlander of Pekin, and his favorite uncle, Ink Thomas, whom he loved, respected and admired, and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his three best buddies, his dogs, Colby, Nick and Missy. Andy served in the U.S. Marines and owned A & S Appliance. He was an animated story teller, and a loyal and reliable brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Pekin Park Pavilion, per his wishes, this will be a very casual potluck dinner with the meat being provided. Memorials may be made to The Don Bohlander Parkinson’s Disease FundRACERS in his name. The family would like to thank, Meagan from Harbor Light Hospice, the office of Dr. Kevin Miller and the VA office in Peoria for all of the care and assistance given to Andy and his family. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
