Obituary for Amber Lynn Anderson-Mitchell
(Am) Amber Lynn Anderson-Mitchell, age 33, from Galesburg, IL. Beloved mother, daughter, and sister sadly passed away October 22, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Amber was born in Galesburg, IL at St. Mary’s Hospital on March 18, 1988 to Larry Mitchell II and Lucynda Anderson-Sargent.

Amber’s biggest blessing in life was being a mother to her two amazing children Brianna (13) and Kaden (7).

Amber is survived by her father and stepmother, Larry and Donna Mitchell II; her mother, Lucynda Sargent; the love of her life of 18 years, Randy Wilson; their children, Brianna and Kaden; her sister, Kaylyn and her niece and nephew, Korion and Kamora; her paternal grandmothers, Judy Mitchell and Valerie Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Robert Anderson and Sandy Anderson and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and stepsiblings.

Amber was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Marguerite Kelly; her papa, Larry Mitchell Sr; her maternal grandmother, Barb Wall as well as a few great-uncles and a cousin.

Amber graduated in 2005 and from there went on to receive her CNA certificate to go on doing what she was passionate about and making a difference in peoples lives.

She worked as a CNA for many years until she was no longer able to do so. She then picked back up on her love for arts and crafts.

Amber was so full of life. She loved being outside taking her children to the park and swimming and loved being around family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at St. James AME Church in Monmouth, IL followed by a celebration of life at the VFW in Monmouth, IL.

Memorials may be left at the church with Larry Mitchell II for Ambers children. Flowers also can be sent to St. James AME Church in Monmouth, IL.

The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com
