Amalia Ugalde, 62, of Granville passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born July 10, 1958, in Laredo, TX to Jose and Maria Munoz Ramirez. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married Eusebio Ugalde August 10, 1995, in Cook County, IL; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Elisa Sanchez, Vivian (Felix) Martinez, Becky Castro, Abraham Castro; grandchildren, Jimmy Torres Jr., Gumercindo Torres, Nicholas Martinez, Nathaniel Martinez and siblings, John Ramirez, and Jesse Ramirez.
Amalia loved her family. She was the glue of the family. She enjoyed cooking her mother’s traditional dishes. She would feed anyone. She was sweet, spunky, and sometimes, quirky.
Cremation has been accorded and a private family celebration will be held.
