Obituary for Ada "Daisy" Geltmaker
Ada Mae “Daisy” Geltmaker, 92, of Chillicothe passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Evergreen Senior Living in Chillicothe, IL. She was born May 12, 1926 in Limestone Township, the daughter of John and Gretchen (Krus) Wilhelm. She married Thomas Geltmaker on November 26, 1947; he preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Tom (Marilyn) Geltmaker of Chillicothe and her daughter Nancy Davis of Des Moines, IA; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister, Ann Clauson of Trivoli. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Debbie Butler; one grandson; one brother and three sisters. Known as Daisy to many of her friends and family she was a homemaker for most of her life and worked for Parkhill Nursing Home in Chillicothe. She enjoyed her family and friends, was a wonderful cook and loved her birds, flowers and ice cream. She will be missed by all who loved her including her friends at Legacy in Chillicothe. Cremation rites will be accorded, and a private family service will follow at a later date at Blue Ridge Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to St. Edwards Catholic Church in Chillicothe in her name.
