Obituary for Patrick Parker
Patrick Michael Parker, 61, of Peoria passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born May 30, 1957 in Peoria to William Andrew and Mary Alice Geason Parker. He married Ashley E. Holmes September 24, 2007 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his father, William A. Parker; sons, Jesse (Danielle) Parker, William J. (Jill) Parker; grandchildren, Noah, Brooke, Sophia, Addison; siblings, Lynn Parker, Susan Meyer, Kathryn (Todd) Grimm, Valarie Parker, Elizabeth Strawn, Melissa (Israel) Staker and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice Parker. Patrick proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Five Star Vending Company. He loved his grandchildren, the church, reading and rock & roll. He also loved traveling, especially to Jamaica and watching its beautiful sunsets. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He also enjoyed reminding Cubs fans of the St Louis Cardinals 11 World Series Championships. He was an amazing story teller and he did not know a stranger. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 504 Fulton Street, Peoria, IL 61602 at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sisters of Charity 506 Hancock Street, Peoria, IL 61603 in his name.
