Obituary for James Livengood
James Edward Livengood, 91, of Peoria Heights passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 29, 1925 in Boynton Township, IL to Arlyn and Mary Livengood. He married Betty in Bartonville on May 14, 1953; she preceded him in death. His parents and brother, Robert Livengood also preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Ricky (Nellie) Livengood; step-son, Larry Farrell; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. James proudly served our Country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Newcomb during WWII. He worked as head of security for Keystone for many years and was a longtime member of Senior Citizens of Hollis Park District. He enjoyed camping and fishing especially in Alaska and Canada. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held.
